The Country Cook

Hi! I`m Laurie AKA The Country Cook.

I love everything about food. I enjoy coming up with new recipes, re-inventing old ones, and I am happiest when I am out in my garden growing it.

My very first job at 16 was as a Cake Decorator. Quite a strange job for someone who doesn`t care for sweets, but I realized then that I wanted a career in the food industry.

Although I have no formal training, over the years I ran a small Catering business from my home  and eventually offered myself out as a Personal Chef, where I was persuaded by some of my clients to share my recipes with others.  So here I am….The Country Cook.
